Elsa Lambinet was born on the 16th of March, 1987 in Nimes, France.

In 2008, she won the competition « design and wine » at La Marinière Terreaux in Lyon, where she graduated with a HNC in Design.

The following year, she completed this degree through a bachelor in Product and Packaging at at the Leonard de Vinci School in Villlefontaine in conjunction with an internship at L’Oréal, in the Areca design section.

After graduating, she decided to live in Australia for a year in order to perfect her English and build upon her professional experience. She sent her application to the ECAL/University of Art and Design from Melbourne and was accepted 2 months later in MAS Luxe.

During her studies, she was part of the Christofle/Designer Days 2011 as well as Baccarat/Milan Design Week 2011 where she was spotted by Philip Starck.

Her projects shaped many articles which featured in renowned papers including the New York Times, Intramuros, Citizen K, Etapes and L’Officiel du Design 2011 …

She finally obtained her master with honors thanks to her astonishing project based on chocolate. After that she has also worked in Philippe Starck agency and Delsey.

En 2008, elle remporte le concours « design et vin » à la Martiniére Terreaux à Lyon, où elle obtient son BTS design de produit la même année.
Elle complète par la suite son cursus, via une licence design produit et packaging, au Lycée Leonard de Vinci à Villefontaine.Conjointement, elle suit un stage en alternance chez le groupe l’Oréal, dans la section design chez Areca.

Une fois le diplôme en poche, elle décide de voyager pendant un an en Australie pour perfectionner son anglais et forger son expérience personnelle. 
C’est aux antipodes qu’elle prépare alors son dossier d’admission à l’ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne.

Admise en Mas-Luxe dans cette institution, elle participe à l’exposition ECAL/Baccarat au Salon international du meuble de Milan 2011 et au Designer’s Days pour l’exposition ECAL/Christofle à Paris en 2011.
Elle obtient son Master en design et industrie du luxe de l’ECAL avec mention pour son travail surprenant sur le chocolat.

Ses projets ont bénéficié d’articles dans de nombreux journaux, blogs et revues dont le New York Times, Intramuros, Citizen K, Etapes ou encore l’Officiel du Design 2011.

Ayant repéré son travail au Salon international de Milan, Philippe Starck lui propose de travailler avec lui pendant quelques mois. Elle a également travaillé chez Delsey à Paris.
